Mt. Chirripó - One of the highest mountains in Central America at over 3,800 meters above sea level, and a popular national park, this rugged high-altitude landscape offers beautiful views and some great hiking trails.
Corcovado National Park - over 42,000 hectares of protected national forest, this world-famous park boasts incredible biodiversity (one of the highest rates on the planet), many species of endangered plants and animals, and beautiful sandy beaches.
Golfito - An old banana port town, Golfito offers tropical adventure in its own miniature bay, plus access to neighboring wildlife refuges and Piedras Blancas National Park (originally an extension of Corcovado National Park).
Sierpe - The gateway to the pristine tropical playground of Drake Bay and Caño Island, the Sierpe River winds its way through huge mangrove forests teeming with wildlife until it reaches the Pacific Ocean.
Paso Canoas - The border town of along the Pacific Coast between Costa Rica and Panama, Costa Ricans usually come here for their shopping.
